The trail starts from Valea Moieciului valley /DN73 from the village of Bran (750m) (alongside Trail 22). Cross the bridge to Poiana Inimii Reginei Maria meadow (to the right, at the edge of the forest, there is the crypt and the tomb with the box containing Queen Mary’s heart, which is now at the History Museum in Bucharest). For a distance of 830 meters, a steep climb (28% slope) takes you to a long meadow at an altitude of 980 m. Continue to climb through the long meadow, at the edge of the forest and along the electric fence for animals. Climb a few hundred meters through the deciduous forest and get to a stone fence. It is the fence of the highest house in Maguricea hamlet, part of Moieciu de Sus. Cross the stone fence twice and climb 800 meters on the grassy saddle. The ascent (110 m altitude difference) through the forest takes you to a saddle, where a variation of the trail follows Trail 22 to Saua Magura saddle (common markings). The old version of the route takes you down (north, 63 meters altitude difference, 27% slope) to Padina Lupului. Turn left (northwest) on the contour line and after 630 meters reach Saua Magura saddle. Trail 22 continues ahead. Turn left (south) for 200 meters on the contour line (to a signpost). Turn right and descend 250 meters (50 meters altitude difference) on the right side of the little stream of the hollow above Magura. The slightly downward contour line takes you down (50 meters altitude difference) to a wooden fence where you turn left for another 190 meters to the main road in the village of Magura.
