The trail starts at km 18 of 67D national road, in front of Dumbrava motel. After climbing through the forest, enter Tasna Gorge on the left slope. The wild canyons are not difficult to walk through. There is a water mill called The Devil`s Mill near the exit, where the wheel spins counter clockwise. Exit the gorge and walk through two meadows. In the first one, the trail intersects the blue triangle trail, which comes from Balta Cerbului Meadow. In the second meadow, you intersect the yellow dot trail and the red stripe trail, which climb to Pietrele Albe Peak, then head towards the uvalas. Continue straight ahead on your route, leave Tasna Valley and intersect a forest road. If you turn left and descend on this road you reach the village of Costesti. You turn right uphill towards Ciolanu Mare Peak (1135 m) on the Mehedinti Mountains ridge. After this peak, the path runs through dolinas, through the forest, and after a bend it enters Balta Cerbului Meadow. Baile Herculane forest lodge and a gazebo are in this meadow.
