The starting point of the trail is upstream of Baile Herculane, about 1 km upstream of Dumbrava Guesthouse. Cross the wooden bridge over the Cerna (Tasna Bridge) and turn right, upstream Cerna Valley. Walk parallel to Cerna Valley and reach Prisacina Stream as it exits the gorge bearing the same name. The landscape is amazing, the walls rise high on both sides of the gorge. The passage through Prisacina Gorge can be done through shallow water, making it difficult to cross from one side to the other without getting wet. Higher above, the path gets out of the gorge on the left side of the valley and goes past several wooded edges. This part of the trail is more difficult and requires increased attention due to the risk of slipping, the path being very narrow. Several switchbacks bring you back to the shallow water in a more open area of the valley, where there is an abandoned water mill. There are no trail markers here, making the orientation more difficult. Continue along the valley and at a certain point a path descends on its right to Prisacina Valley, next to a farm, coming from Cracul Mare Peak. Climb on this path and get to the road that is accompanied by the red dot, yellow dot and blue dot trail. Turn left and after a while get to the first houses in Prisacina village. Walk through the gardens and the meadows of the households scattered across the valley. At the exit of the village the marking leaves the road, which goes to the left towards Dobraia. Continue through the beech forest and after several switchbacks reach the alpine area in Prislop Saddle. From here, if you turn left you get to the point where the yellow dot trail climbs from Cracul Cerbului secondary ridge.
