Along the way, the markers alternate with the green marking that persists to Barnelor Hill, sharing the route with the bike trail. You start in front of Saint Parascheva Church in Rasinari. You follow an alley that leads to the path climbing steeply onto Coastei Hill. An easier, flatter section follows after the steep climb as you walk through a young broadleaf forest. After approximately 30 minutes, you get onto Fraga Hill, which provides a beautiful view toward the Fagaras Mountains, covered with grasslands and hayfields and isolated summer huts. The trail continues up past several huts. After approximately 1 hour, you walk below Plaiului Peak (1197 m). From here onward, the trail becomes easier and the path runs over the ridge covered with grasslands and hayfields. After a short while, you get to the intersection with the cart road marked with blue stripe that climbs from Rasinari along Caselor Valley. You continue on the cart road, leaving Barnelor Hill to the east. You soon reach the main ridge trail (red stripe) and shortly afterward, Apa Cumpanita Saddle to the east, named so as it separates the sources of Sibisel, Stamba and Varjoghii brooks.
