From the Transfagarasan high alpine road, walk past two tunnels and the entrance to Stan Canyon is at the northern end of a bridge. Ascend along the valley until the first obstacle, a dam for flood protection, climb on a metal ladder to the left and continue along the valley. A gradual ascent takes you to a section with several thresholds equipped with stairs. Walk past an impressive waterfall and the path equipped with metal railing avoids a section of the canyon by ascending and descending on the left bank of the river. The next section is along the stream and then you reach the most spectacular area in the canyon. Climb the stairs, cross a suspended footbridge and climb the stairs, crossing over a rocky wall. Walk past more obstacles by using the ladders and cables that the trail is equipped with and get to a wider area. Cross the water several times and climb through the forest until you reach a meadow. Descend until you come across a paved road that leads you back to the Transfagarasan.
