The confluence of Rebrisoara Mare and Rebra is a few meters away from the forest lodge in Gura Rebra (Valea Rebra valley). This is the starting point of the yellow dot trail, whose destination is Zavoaiele Borcutului meadows in Valea Stramba valley. Turn left and follow the road on Valea Rebrisoara Mare valley. In about 1 kilometer, get to a signpost that directs you to the right, on Zebra Mare forest road along Valea Rebrisoara Mare valley. The main road (unmarked) continues to the left towards Telcisor-Telciu, through Pasul Valea Seaca pass. Walk along the road on Rebrisoara Mare Valley for one hour and a half. The yellow dot appears occasionally by the side of the road, but when the road disappears, the trail markers disappear as well. Leave the valley, climb steeply to the right on a former road for articulated forest tractors (now overgrown with weeds), and after about 15-20 minutes come across an old grassy forest road. Soon, there is a yellow dot and you can see Saua Tomnatic saddle, which you reach after another 15 minutes. There is a wooden signpost in the saddle, indicating the intersection with the red dot trail. There is also a roof of a former cottage / sheepfold. Walk past it and the yellow dot descends to the north. There is a deforestation following the grassy area. Walk the first two hundred meters through grass without any trail markers. Thus, from the former sheepfold walk north-east to the end of the meadow. From this point, follow the new forest road (recently cut fir trees). At a certain moment, come across a grassy road coming from the right. Follow it and after some 300 m there is a tree on the left with the first PG trail marker (barely visible). Soon, it descends to the road on Izvorul Barloaia valley. If you do the route backwards, be careful, as there is no indication of when to leave the road on Valea Stramba valley. Turn left and in 10 minutes reach Zavoaiele Borcutului meadows, where the signpost indicates the intersection with TR trail (Trail 12).
