A shorter trail, but more intense, with significant elevation gain / loss, which climbs from Busteni and reaches Baiului Mountains ridge on the forest road on Mount Zamora. The road is good for cycling, but it is sometimes very steep, testing the skills of any rider. Once you reach the main ridge of the Baiului Mountains, near Baiului saddle, you can enjoy one of the most impressive sceneries in Romania – that of the eastern slope of the Bucegi. From here, continue on the road, round Baiul Mic, Baiul Mare, and Dragan Peaks. Then, somewhere close to Piscul Cainelui Peak, leave the main ridge and follow the tourist trail that descends on the ridge bearing the same name. The steep path has some technical difficulties and it requires a lot of attention. From Piscul Cainelui Hut, the path turns into a gravel road and goes down to Sinaia. Here, you can stop at Peles Castle and Sinaia Monastery, and then return to Busteni on the national road (via Poiana Tapului) or by train.
