The trail starts from the Main Square and initially climbs on asphalt towards Taul Brazi. In close proximity to it, where the paved road makes a sharp left turn (there is a picnic area, gazebo, toilet and water tap here) the marking leaves the narrow paved road and goes up a stone road. At an intersection of five roads and two trails (red dot, blue triangle) you continue in the same direction and gently descend towards the paved road coming from Valea Cornei. To the right you can see Piatra Corbului, Taul Cornii below, and behind the unmistakable silhouette of the Vulcan Massif. Follow this road to the south for only 200 m, then near some wooden garages turn left and start a long descent through hayfields, forest patches, very picturesque places, to Muntanului Valley, in the town of Valeni. Here you follow this brook downstream on a road for about 800 m, then leave it and go uphill on a forest road that winds through the forest. At intersections you have to pay attention to the markings, the trail sometimes follow less traveled roads. The climb ends in a beautiful clearing, located at an elevation of almost 900 m, from where you start the descent again, on a steep road through the forest, to the village of Valea Sesii, right next to the ethnographic museum. Here there is also a sign with information about Detunate, and a tourist sign directs you to the left, on the road from the village, along the stream. After only 75 m you leave the road to the right, cross the stream and start the last ascent, quite difficult. First go up the village street, then through a hayfield next to a fence, then through the forest and finally through the clearing where you reach Popasul Fefeleaga rest stop and the red cross trail.
Older red dot markers are also present on the section between Valea Sesii and Fefeleaga rest stop.
