Trail 27 (red stripe) is a medium/difficult trail, appropriate for those familiar with differences in elevation of almost 2,000 m. The trail crosses the long and picturesque tourist village of Simon, climbs up Plaiul lui Lom edge, offering beautiful views over the Leaota Mountains and continues for another hour to the lower part of Gutanu Meadow. From here, continue on the ascending contour line, on the upper part of Grohotis, Rea, Merez and Pravalelor valleys until you reach Strunga Saddle and descend below Mount Colti to Padina Hut (1,509 m).
