From Sinaia train station climb the stairs to the main road and after Dimitrie Ghica park continue on the stairs to Furnica Street. From the roundabout near Pelisor you follow the road and at the first bend after entering Bucegi Natural Park turn right on a gravel road. After Peles Valley you find a gravel path that goes up left to Stanii Meadow/The Royal Sheepfold. Before the meadow, a path with the same marking leads you to Franz Josef Rock and then to Stanii Meadow. Go to the left, walk past a spring and get to Stanii Meadow. Follow the motor road to the left for 100-150 m and climb through the forest on Piatra Arsa secondary ridge, on the tight bends to the resting place (bench and tables) and further through rocky areas or through the forest to the alpine meadows (risk of avalanche in winter). Reach the end of the plateau and in 30 minutes the path takes you to Piatra Arsa Hut (1,950 m). The gravel road continues to the end of the paved road and then you follow the path marked with signposts out of the plateau, cross Laptici plain, Pacala plain and Cocora dale and descend on the ridge to a deforestation area from which you follow the path to Pestera Hotel. Continue on Obarsia Valley past Obarsia Waterfall, walk over the glacial threshold and continue to the bottom of the upper cirque of Obarsia Valley, in the lower part of Mecetul Turcesc. Climb the winding path to Cerbului (Obarsia) Saddle and then follow the motor road to Omu Hut (2,507 m). The trail descends on the northern slope of Gaura Valley and in 20 minutes it takes you to the intersection of the winter and summer routes: the winter trail descends from Hornurilor Saddle through Hornul Mare into the upper cirque of Malaiesti Valley and the summer trail winds down on the right (south) slope on the upper cirque of Malaiesti Valley to the bottom of Hornul Mare. Descend through the three glacial cirques to Malaiesti Hut (1,720 m) and further through Malaiesti Valley to Malaiesti Izvor Meadow, where you turn left and continue along Malaiesti stream to the forest road. From here you follow the forest road on Ghimbav Valley (Paraul Mare) to Rasnov.
