The trail starts from km 5 of 67D national road, the starting point being marked with signs and an information board. The path zigzags through the forest, cutting the steep slope. At one point, the trail runs parallel to Cerna Valley, on the contour line, and continues on a ledge. After several coils, the ledge takes you to the White Cross, with a beautiful panoramic view of Baile Herculane, Cerna Valley and the mountains bearing the same name. Continue up from the White Cross and shortly reach the place where the yellow stripe and the blue cross trails split. The red triangle trail descends to Jelarau Gorge, which you cross to the spring with the same name. Here and there, the red triangle marking is also present on this section. The path then goes up the stream, and at some point it follows a forest road up to Mosuroane meadow and forest lodge. Continue on the same forest road and the blue cross trail soon reaches the intersection with Mehedinti Mountains ridge road and the red stripe ridge trail.
Restricted/not recommended in winter.
