The trail starts upstream from Baile Herculane Resort, above Ghizela`s Rock, at km 4.1 of DN67D national road towards Baia de Arama, in a parking opposite Ghizela`s Cross. Cross the concrete footbridge and get to an indicator marking the starting point of the trail. Shortly after departure, you leave the red dot trail, as you have to continue to the left. Climb steeply through the forest and at one point you reach a ledge that runs parallel to Cerna Valley, going up the slope. Here, there is a beautiful panoramic view over Prisaca reservoir. Then, you get to a point where the blue triangle trail meets the blue dot trail. Follow the blue triangle and descend a little and then climb a small wooded hill. From here continue on the contour line for a short while and then start the climb along the valley line. At one point the valley becomes wider, and after Fantana Mosului Meadow you reach the ridge road on the Mehedinti Mountains (red stripe). Continue on this road for a short while. At one point you enter the forest and then reach Balta Cerbului Meadow. Alternatively, you can continue on the forest road that will take you to the same place after a detour. From the meadow, the trail continues through the forest and then through an area with alpine vegetation, reaching a meadow with a sheepfold, above Tasna Gorge. Orientation may be difficult on the final part of the trail due to scarce trail markers and shrubs.
