Valea Mălăieşti - Brâna Caprelor - Şaua Brâna Caprelor

Description

A trail connecting Malaiesti Valley to Brana Caprelor ledge and further to Take Ionescu or Omu Peak, a fascinating show. The trail on Brana Caprelor ledge is a spectacular one, not recommended for people with heart problems or those who are afraid of heights, but the 700-meter-long steep slope at your feet is unique among the marked trails in the country.

The trail starts from the second glacial cirque of Malaiesti Valley, from trail 2 (blue stripe) (connecting Malaiesti to Omu). To get here, it takes about 45-50 minutes from Malaiesti Hut to reach the starting point.

There is a more demanding portion equipped with cables, with great views of Postavaru Massif, Malaiesti Valley, Bucsoiu Valley and the ridge of the Bucegi Mountains from Omu to Scara.

After a demanding climb, reach the rocky saddle of Brana Caprelor (2,288 m), marking the end of the ledge and the intersection with trail 11 (red stripe) on the ridge of Bucsoiu.
