The trail is short, very technical in places, but with outstanding views towards the spectacular landforms of the Ciucas, rewarding you with every effort. The trail splits from DN1A national road, before Cheia and climbs along the old asphalt road (now gravel road) to Muntele Rosu (Red Mountain) Hut. At this point, get out of the forest and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Zaganu-Gropsoare ridge. Leave the road and follow the yellow stripe trail (initially grassy) to Valea Berii Valley. From here, climb to Ciucas Hut, first on the bike, then for the last section there is a push bike part due to the steep slope on a road with perpendicular slabs. After a well-deserved break at the lodge, continue to Tigailor Saddle on the tourist trail, which requires some skills for the technical descents and the steep slope breaks with push bikes parts. Once you reach the saddle, the beauty of Tigaile Mari and Ciucas Peak calls for another break, as the next part will be a long and beautiful descent on a single-trail along Culmea Bratocea Ridge. The ridge is appropriate for cycling, except for the very steep part between Bratocea Sphinx and the relay. To Bratocea Pass, the serpentine road descends to the asphalt road, where you continue on the national road to arrive to the same place where you started, descending carefully on many other switchbacks.
