The trail starts from Cabana Plaiul Foii hut (849 m) and the route is common with Trails 1, 4 and 5 to the intersection of Barsa Tamasului and Paraul Runcului rivers (about two kilometers on the road on Barsa Tamasului). At the barrier marking the entrance to Valea Spirla valley, Trail 1 remains to the left and you continue on Plaiul Mare (located between Barsa Tamasului and Paraul Runcului) to Curmatura Foii saddle (together with Trails 4 and 5). Climb a few hundred meters on the road for articulated forest tractors (TAF) to a small meadow and then start a long and tiring ascent on the TAF road, through the deciduous forest, to Plaiul Mare. Follow the curves of the road which becomes narrower and after 200 meters altitude difference reach a wider dirt road (about 1100 m). This road will take you up on Plaiul Mare ridge (1335 m) where Trails 4 and 5 continue to the left to Curmatura Foii saddle. The road for articulated forest tractors (TAF) climbs right to the west for about 300 meters (65 meters altitude difference, to the ridge connecting Curmatura Foii saddle to Varful Tamasul Mare peak) and come across Trail 35 in Saua Tamasului saddle (1510 m). Walk along the TAF road to the west, through a deforestations, on the contour line, below the eastern end of Tamasul Mare mountain (alongside Trail 35) and after 560 meters, Trail 35 continues right on the TAF road to Varful Tamasul Mare peak. Continue on the contour line (alternative trail markings: blue stripe and red stripe!), walk past Plaiul Turcilor, then past a temporary spring and through a coniferous corridor to reach the big meadow on Piciorul Tamasului ridge. Here, come across a signpost with both markings mentioned above. The trail makes a slight turn to the right through the meadow above the sheepfold onTamasul Mare, a signpost with red stripe remains up to the right, cross Valea Stanciului valley and descend through the forest to the village of Rachita on Dambovita Valley at an altitude of 940 m (connection to Iezer-Papusa Mountains through Dracsin ridge).
