Directions

From Vladeasa Hut, cross the meadow to the south (from Vladeasa Hut, the village of Rogojel is in the east direction and the ridge in the west) and 200 meters further reach the intersection with Rogojan forest road. The 5 km-long road follows the contour line, crosses the forest and reaches Pietrele Albe Rocks. Up to this point, the blue stripe, blue dot and red dot trails follow the same route. At the fork from Pietrele Albe Rocks, the blue stripe trail keeps right, reaches Saua dintre Munti Saddle and crosses the forest below Varfurasu Peak. Then, it continues through a large pasture, at the end of which you get back into the forest and begin the descent to Nimaiasa Valley. Cross the water and start climbing on the right slope (left geographically). The route continues to the south, leaves the sheepfold behind and goes around Micau Peak (on the right side of the peak). Follow the road on the ridge, cross Gardul de Piatra Plateau and get above Onceasa Meadow, at Piatra Talharului (Thief‘s Stone) rock formation. You can read the legend of the Thief written on a board and you can climb the rock for a panoramic view on a short path marked with a double point (round trip).
