From the entrance to Boga holiday village descend about 450 m on DJ763 county road to Pietroasa. The trail starts from Bulzului Rock. The signs on the rocks on the right bank of the creek are not very visible from the road. Climb steeply through the forest on a path on the left (west) side of Bulzului Rock until you get behind the rock, where a sign invites you to deviate from the trail for a 5-minute walk to enjoy the view from the rock. Return to the path and climb on a wide ridge with a beautiful beech forest. After 600 m of continuous climbing gain more than 200 m in elevation and reach a small peak where you turn slightly to the right and walk along a hill between two valleys, mostly climbing. After more than 3.5 km through the forest only interrupted by two small meadows and a forest clearing, get out of the forest below Cornu Muntilor Peak. Leave the ridge to the left (north) and continue on the contour line on a former shepherd path now overgrown with vegetation. The following section of the trail is difficult as you have to walk through juniper bushes or underbrush without a clear path. The patches of forest are a blessing for the tired traveler. After more than 1.5 km of ordeal, the path reaches another secondary ridge where it changes its direction of travel towards the northeast. An easier climb through dwarf pines takes you to the main ridge, where you come across trail 12 (red stripe).
