From the train station in Turnu Rosu, climb on the main road directly to the south. There are no trail markers in the village, but the direction is towards Turnu Rosu Monastery, which is indicated. Follow the forest road to the monastery for about 5 km (there is a drinking water source here), then for another 1 km to the intersection with Caselor Valley, where there is an indicator. Cross the river to the west and climb directly to the south, on a clear edge, on the red cross trail, and after 150 m difference in elevation, continue along the contour line to the southwest and reach a clearing. From here, the path is replaced by the forest road. Follow the remaining trail markings on the forest road, on the western slope of the ridge, near the edge, through the woods. The forest is replaced by dwarf mountain pines until the intersection with the main ridge. Get onto the ridge in an ascent towards the southeast and get to the saddle between Chica Pietrelor Peak and Chica Fedelesului Peak, 1,568 m above sea level.
