This classic and beautiful mountainbiking trail starts from Somesul Mare Valley, from the confluence with Mariilor Valley, upstream Valea Mare village. From here, climb to Rotunda Pass on DN17D national road. Once you get there, you can have a rehydration break and then head eastward, past Rizea and Croitor Huts and through Rotunda Meadow. You are at the boundary between two mountains and you have spectacular panoramic views of both Rodnei (Rosu, Ineu and Ineut peaks) and Suhard mountains. Continue along the ridge road past modern sheepfolds and takes you around the more imposing peaks, including the highest peak in Suhard Mountains - Omu Peak. A speedy downhill takes you to Suhard Peak, past another sheepfold and then you enter the forest and continue on the dirt road to Zanelor Meadow (a few km). There are many holiday houses and guest houses here (many of them decommissioned). From here, in order to get back to Somesul Mare Valley, follow the gravel road along Mariilor Valley.
