The trail starts from km 5 of 67D national road, just before the intersection with the road that descends to Baile Herculane. The starting point is signaled with a panel containing some information about the national park. It starts winding through the forest to the first sight: Crucea Alba (the White Cross), where you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Baile Herculane and Cerna Valley. From the White Cross continue along the yellow stripe marking on the path leading towards Domogled Peaks. This path is called the Cat’s Path due to its greater difficulty. After about half an hour’s climb, the entrance to Pestera de sub Serban Cave can be seen on the left side of the trail. After crossing the black pine tree forest as well as a smaller lilac forest, reach the rocks of Domogledul Mic Peak (1099 m). The yellow stripe marking crosses this peak and follows the ridge towards Domogledul Mare Peak (1105 m), which you reach within a short while.
