The trail starts from km 26 of 67D national road, from a parking lot and a resting place called Piatra Puscata. This is the starting point of the yellow dot, red dot, red cross and blue triangle trails. The trail begins with a steep climb through the forest. At some point you get to a meadow guarded by limestone walls in its upper part. There are several peasant cottages with gardens and orchards. Further on, the trail continues throughout Tamna Gorge (Foeroaga Tamnei). Crovul Mare opens in the upper part of the gorge (a huge valley, more than 100 meters deep). From here, the trail veers 90 degrees to the right, running successively through Porcului, Crovul Medvedului and Plostinioarele meadows. From the last meadow, start the climb to the ridge of the Mehedinti Mountains, which you reach in Pietrele Albe Peak (1335 m). From here, there is a more difficult descent among limestone cliffs, shrubs and young beech trees. At one point, you get out of the forest into a wide meadow, at the end of which you reach the intersection with the blue cross marking. If you follow it down the valley, you will walk through Tasna Gorge and reach Dumbrava Motel.
