From the town of Recea, walk to the southeast and take the road to Berivoi Monastery. From an area with guest houses and holiday homes, leave the main road that goes to the monastery and walk directly to the south, on the forest road along Berivoi Valley. After approximately 2 km, cross the stream on a bridge and immediately see the path that climbs the wooded ridge. Go up through the forest, along the ridgeline, past some meadows, and reach a horizontal section where the coniferous forest makes room for the dwarf mountain pines. Here, you have two options. Turn east (left) and continue on the upward contour line to the ridge, where you reach the trail that descends on Scoarta Mountain, right next to the Mountain Rescue Hut. The first alternative is well marked. Another option is to take the upward path to the southeast, through dwarf mountain pines, but the path is difficult to follow due to the great number of cattle paths and the rich vegetation. The second alternative reaches the intersection with the trail that continues along Scoarta Ridge a few hundred meters (south) from the Mountain Rescue Hut. From here, you can climb to the south on Scoarta Ridge and get to the main ridge, or you can descend to the north on the red dot trail or the blue dot trail.
