From Sibiel train halt, you walk on the paved motor road for approximately 2 km to reach Sibiel village. You cross the village, where you come across numerous guest houses and the rural museum with a glass icon collection. From Sibiel, you follow the forest road climbing along Sibiel Valley. After approximately 200-300 m from the edge of the village, you cross Sibiel Valley on a narrow footbridge to then follow a steep old cart road, eroded by waters and that crosses the beech forest and goes below Cetatii Peak, where the ruins of an old medieval fortress can be found. Next, you follow the ridge road, leave the forest after more than 1 hour from the edge of the village and cross the grasslands of Sibiel village to reach Godia Meadow with its numerous summer huts. After 30-40 minutes, you reach Fantanele Hut that burnt down. The trail is well-marked up to Godia Meadow, but trail markers are scarce from here to the former Fantanele Hut.
