Slightly farther up from Miercurea Forest Lodge on the forest road along Frumoasa Valley, you set out on a secondary forest road to the left. Here, you come across an old signpost indicating toward Frumoasa Peak. You climb along Blaga Brook Valley. Within a few minutes, you walk past a hut set up as an “astronomical observatory”. After approximately 25 minutes, you reach a junction. You continue to climb through the forest on the right. Within a few meters, the road becomes narrower, steep and rocky. After approximately 1 hour, you leave the road and the forest. You climb through the grasslands along the edge of the forest. You cross a vast dwarf pine area and then climb on the contour line. After more than 2 hours from the starting point, you get to the intersection with the red stripe and blue stripe ridge trails. From here, you can get on Frumoasa Peak within 5 minutes, the edge of Iezerele Cindrelului Nature Reserve. The peak provides a wonderful view toward Iezerul Mic. There are nearly no trail markers at all across the trail.
