Directions

The trail follows the road along Valea Caselor brook, located in the eastern extremity of Campulung Moldovenesc. It goes between cottages, guesthouses, fenced properties, past a hotel under construction that was abandoned. After 4.4 km that can be done by car, the road ends at a parking lot with a resting place. The trail continues through Moara Dracului Gorge, short but very picturesque, well-equipped with wooden footbridges. The place is visited by many tourists due to easy access. Continue on the path along the brook that you soon leave to climb through the deciduous forest, then through the mixed forest on the left slope (right as you climb). Exit the forest into a beautiful and large meadow in the proximity of Halga Peak, where there is a summer house and more wooden constructions. From here, the marking uses several forest roads and always climbs through the spruce forest. In a large meadow (Buzan) climb to the left (S) and continue climbing through the forest and small meadows. After leaving the forest, walk past a sheepfold and climb between Popii Raraului rocks in a picturesque landscape. Get to the intersection with trail 23 (blue cross) that comes from Slatioara. From here, in less than 1 km, on the edge of the forest, then through a small patch of forest, reach Ciobanilor Saddle, a place of intersection of several trails. Walk for 2 more km to reach Rarau Hotel alongside trails 3 (red stripe), 18 (yellow cross), 24 (red triangle), and others.
