The trail can be used as an alternative to a section of ridge trail 11 (red triangle). The two run in parallel between Prislop Hut and Lupsa Saddle. From Lupsa Saddle, you descend along a steep road to get to the intersection with the forest road climbing to the bed of Raul Mic Valley, at the place called Taul Lupsii. A dam (reservoir) was formerly set up here to serve for log transportation purposes. You cross the river through the shallow part, turn slightly to the left (north) and begin the steep climb along a narrow road. After an elevation gain of 100 m, the narrow road is replaced by a more serious one and the climb becomes smoother. You walk for another 700 m (D+ 110 m) and come out onto the ridge road coming in from Bucuru and Bocsitura hamlets. Here, you turn right and after less than 1 km, you rest next to a spring (Grosilor Spring), where a cross and a resting place can be found. The area is set up by the Nasapiste Association, whose hut is situated within another 1.3 km. Shortly, you cross a cleared area (now a young forest), then you come out at the grazing land. Here, you bypass a cairn marked peak around the right (north) and the following one around the left. You walk past some cliffs (which are rare across Sureanu) and in the proximity of Batrana Peak. You can enjoy a resting place made from logs near a stone cross. Shortly, you once more reach the intersection with trail red stripe, which follows the main northern ridge of the massif.
