This is a thematic trail with information boards about the Karst in the Sureanu Mountains. There are 6 such information boards in total. The trail can also be used as an on-foot access trail to Fundatura Ponorului, the most picturesque place in the country according to some, also called God’s Palm (Palma lui Dumnezeu). You start at the garages in the southern extremity of Federi village, a paved road climbing up to this point (trail 7 – red stripe). You follow the road cut into the mountain side for approximately 1.4 km up to the first information board. Once here, you leave the good road and begin to climb along less-travelled roads, through the forest, paying attention at the crossroads, walking past information boards. A little before the fourth board, the road slightly begins to descend and then it reaches the intersection with a motor road. Here, you maintain the same direction and descend more steeply, coming out of the forest and descending to Ponor Meadow, past shelters and the last two information boards.
