From Cavnic town, head towards Suior Street to start the walk on the red triangle trail. Located in the southern part of Gutai Massif, the red triangle starts on a narrow and paved alley and after the last houses it follows the forest road. The valley suddenly becomes narrow, with white waters and sometimes high rock walls rise above you. After about 2.3 km you reach a road bifurcation and walk on the one to the right one (NE). After 10-15 minutes you reach another bifurcation, where you also walk on the road to the right for 800 m. Then the road makes a short bend and, from the hairpin curve, you turn left on a path. It climbs steeply and soon leads you to the edge of the forest. From there, the wagon road will carry you through the wide Mlejnita Meadow, where you walk past a sheepfold and several intersections with other roads. In the northwest corner of the meadow, you can see some marked rocks scattered across the grass. They guide you to the edge of the forest, where you can make a short round trip westwards to Secatura Peak. At first, the climb is through the forest, but it ends before you get to the plateau. There, the path is quite rugged, eroded, and it can cause problems when it rains. With a final effort, you reach the plateau and the intersection with the path that squeezes between burnt dwarf pines. Walk to the right and in a few minutes reach Secatura Peak where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Ignis Plateau, Mogosa Peak, Cavnic and last but not least the narrow ridge of Creasta Cocosului. There are no trail markers for the next section, but the path can easily be followed to the east, to the final destination, Creasta Cocosului.
